What equipment can be included in a remote O&M review?

The review can cover documented PLCs, HMIs, drives, gateways and industrial network devices when their interfaces and protocols are known. The supported data and actions depend on the installed model and configuration.

Does remote access replace on-site maintenance?

No. It can support diagnostics, documented configuration tasks and escalation, but physical inspection, electrical work, lockout and emergency response remain local responsibilities under the site process.

How are access boundaries defined?

The review records user roles, supported actions, network path, data points, local fallback and responsible owners. Site network policy and any third-party platform requirements must also be approved by their owners.

When are gateway and service terms confirmed?
