What typically carries over
The motor nameplate, driven-load duty, speed range, command sources, acceleration and stopping intent, braking design, and fault response remain the primary review inputs. ACS parameter reports, application macros, option-module records, and terminal drawings can preserve the existing commissioning intent. They guide the migration study but do not establish equivalent settings on another drive family. Retained permissives, process interlocks, local controls and maintenance reset procedures should also be documented before changing the drive.
