What typically carries over
The axis requirement remains the transferable source of truth: motion profile, load and inertia information, gearbox, travel, homing, limits, positioning behavior, brake use, and fault response. Existing Allen-Bradley motion instructions and tuning records can explain intended performance. They do not specify a target motor, drive, encoder, cable, and controller combination or make the original motion project portable. Acceptance criteria should describe the actual machine cycle, recovery states and operator expectations.
