What needs re-engineering

Re-engineering covers axis sizing, encoder and brake compatibility, motion function implementation, homing, gearing, cam or coordinated behavior, and tuning on the mechanism. Sysmac or Omron-specific axis objects are rebuilt in CoDeSys or the chosen motion environment. EtherCAT topology may remain an architectural option only after slave profiles, timing needs, and diagnostics are reviewed; other paths may use CANopen. Safety functions and certification need separate evidence. Recovery from interrupted cycles and feedback faults should be included in application validation. The accepted tuning set should be archived with the axis documentation. The revised motion code and recovery notes should remain with the machine project.
